CONFERENCE HOSTS & LEADERSHIP

Meet the women behind the gathering.

Debbie Joe

Founder & Executive Director

Debbie Joe

Debbie Joe is the Founder and Executive Director of Purposed Women, a ministry dedicated to equipping women to walk boldly in their God-given purpose. Raised in a Christian household in Nigeria, she developed a deep love for prayer and God’s presence, which continues to shape her life and leadership.

She serves faithfully at her church and is passionate about sharing Christ, mentoring women, and raising up a generation on fire for God. Her heart’s desire is for many to come to know the Lord, encounter His presence, and walk in purpose.

Debbie holds a Master of Business Administration and serves professionally as Manager, Global Clients and Markets. She is married to her husband, Elton, and together they are raising their son, Elisha. Her life and calling are anchored in Hebrews 1:7 and Jeremiah 1:4–5.

Dr. Barbie Mensah

Program Director & Chief Financial Officer

Dr. Barbie Mensah

Barbie is the Program Director and Chief Financial Officer for Purposed Women Ministry, where she is passionate about helping women discover their God-given identity, purpose, and calling in Christ. Her journey was marked by a divine interruption during a season of deep postpartum depression, when God revealed her identity as a woman called, chosen, and set apart for His glory. This encounter transformed her life and became the foundation of her faith and ministry.

As a healthcare provider, wife, mother, and ministry leader, Barbie is passionate about helping people thrive in body, soul, and spirit. She serves in children’s ministry, equipping the next generation with God’s Word to overcome fear, shame, and limitation and rise as bold, Spirit-led leaders. Her heart also beats for inner healing, purpose-driven discipleship, breaking generational cycles, and helping women cultivate healthy, Christ-centered marriages and homes.

Anchored by Psalm 139:14, Barbie believes every person is wonderfully made and intentionally created for purpose. Her mission is to help others embrace their God-given identity, walk confidently in their calling, and live boldly for Christ... because life in Him was never meant to be silent, but lived with a roar.

Rev. Lakia Nolley

Chief Operating Officer & Communications Director

Rev. Lakia Nolley

Rev. Lakia Nolley is an ordained minister, nonprofit leader, and communications strategist with a heart for helping women encounter God, understand His Word, and walk confidently in their purpose. As Chief Operating Officer and Communications Director of Purposed Women, she combines thoughtful planning, creative communication, and compassionate leadership to create meaningful opportunities for connection and spiritual growth.

Her experience as a Development Manager and Outreach Administrative Pastor shapes her approach to ministry, connecting faith with practical service. Through discipleship, teaching, and outreach, she encourages others to deepen their understanding of Scripture and put their faith into practice. She values creating spaces where women feel welcomed, supported, and equipped to grow.

A wife and mother of two, Lakia values authentic relationships and the everyday moments where faith takes root. Ephesians 2:10 anchors her conviction that every person is God’s workmanship, created with purpose and equipped to make a difference. Her heart is to help women recognize that purpose, deepen their relationship with God, and move forward in obedience to His calling.
